The 1st Campaigners of the Year...

Was a HUGE success! We had just about 50 kids come out to eat doughnuts, play "Gorilla- Ninja- Cowboy," and hear about what we will be doing for the rest of the year.

It was so exciting to see all our friends from last year, and then meet a bunch of new friends. I am very excited about what this year will hold, and hope that as we move forward, and things get wylder, Jesus is always at the center, and kids know that WyldLife is a safe place for them. My goal is to have Fridays not only be a time where kids come, have fun, and hear about Jesus, but a place where they know they are known and loved. I want WyldLife to be something where kids can be secure, and safe, where they can let loose, where they can ask questions, and where they can be themselves... even if it isn't perfect.

I want to model the love of Jesus through WyldLife. His love is not dependent on our behavior or our choices. His love is everlasting and unchanging. We cannot do anything to diminish it because we didn't do anything to earn it, and he loves us as we are, not as we think we should be. That is what I want to model to these kids, and that is what I pray draws them to Jesus.

Today I shared one of my favorite verses with the group, John 10:10. It goes like this, "The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I HAVE COME THAT THEY (YOU) MAY HAVE LIFE, AND HAVE IT TO THE FULL." I pray that not only the kids that come to WyldLife, but you, the parents and supporters, as well as the community of Ladera Ranch gets to experience this FULL life that is available through Jesus. It is in Jesus that we can all experience the kind of love we crave, and a life with him is incredibly full.

But, if kids never make the choice to follow Jesus. If they are more interested in the doughnuts and the games. If they don't think they want Jesus in their life right now... WE WILL STILL LOVE THEM AND THEY ARE MORE THAN WELCOME AT WYLDLIFE!!!
